Architecture That Evokes Soul & Story

Azhadi Vineyards is a cultural and architectural expression of connection, memory, and place. Every element of our estate is intentionally designed to resonate with meaning, drawing from ancient traditions and modern elegance. Inspired by both East and West, the architecture invites guests to slow down, gather, and feel a part of something timeless.

Main Entrance & Archway

Inspired by Shahyad (Azadi) Tower – Tehran, Iran by Hossein Amanat

The estate’s entrance tower pays tribute to the spirit of freedom and legacy through a contemporary interpretation of the Azadi Tower. This soaring arch welcomes guests through a structure that balances strength and grace; a beacon for the values Azhadi embodies: openness, elegance, and cultural pride.

We are grateful to Mr. Amanat for his support and involvement in the design of our main entrance and archway.

Front Façade

Inspired by Taq Kasra – Ctesiphon, Mesopotamia

The sweeping front of the building nods to the ancient Taq Kasra, the world’s largest single-span brick vault, reimagined here as a warm invitation to enter. Its monumental form echoes our desire to preserve history and welcome the future in a single gesture.

Lobby & Fire Pathway

Inspired by Zoroastrian Fire Temples

The central lobby channels the spiritual symbolism of fire and light. Designed as a passage that would typically open to a fire feature, it honours ancient gathering rituals, creating a quiet space for reflection and togetherness.

Lakeside Terrace

Fallingwater by Frank Lloyd Wright & Filberg House by Arthur Erickson

The rear elevation, with its cantilevered terraces overlooking the lake, blends seamlessly into the natural contours of the Okanagan. Drawing from iconic examples of site-integrated design, these spaces offer a meditative experience of land, water, and architecture as one.

Tower Windows

Inspired by Windcatchers – Persian Architecture

Atop our entrance tower, traditional badgir (windcatcher) design principles are reinterpreted to introduce natural airflow and dappled light. A poetic fusion of form and function, these windows echo the architectural intelligence of ancient desert cities.

Siding & Surface Detailing

Inspired by Tehran’s Performing Arts Centre

The estate’s cladding and exterior rhythm draws inspiration from the geometric harmony of Tehran’s iconic Performing Arts Centre. The materiality and detailing reflect both modernity and heritage, reinforcing Azhadi’s sense of rooted sophistication.

A Place Where Architecture Holds Emotion

Each architectural reference is not just an aesthetic choice, it is an intentional gesture toward meaning. At Azhadi, the built environment is designed to stir memory, offer peace, and invite deeper connection. It is a place where design meets feeling, and where every stone and shadow speaks of legacy and love.
